Rabbi Fred Greene is respected for his insight and passions as a community partner, and has worked with different agencies to promote social justice and the protection of civil rights, and address addiction, food insecurity and homelessness. He is a gifted teacher of all ages, and has been a strong advocate for youth engagement and Jewish summer camp experiences.

Rabbi Greene comes to Congregation Har HaShem from Temple Beth Tikvah in Roswell, Georgia, where he served for nine years. His background has a wide range of experiences, including serving as the Associate Rabbi of Congregation B’nai Israel of Bridgeport, Connecticut, working for organizations such as the New Israel Fund, and working in different departments of the Union for Reform Judaism focusing on adult education, membership engagement, and outreach to those who feel vulnerable in the Jewish community. He was ordained from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, New York, in 2001, and remains an active member of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. Along with his wife, Deborah, Rabbi Greene is the proud father of daughters Yael, Leora, and Noa, and dogs, Ezra and Dov
